It was my introduction to the concept of the morphic resonance field which enhanced my understanding of consciounsess and the human experience. As most waypoints along this journey have been discovered, a serendipdous experience shaped my understanding in a new way. New words, new concepts, new frameworks to build upon.
LIke most experimental endeavors, this one is founded on a theoretical basis. In this transmission, there are no linear timelines to follow; no rules to follow. Creative function within overlapping dimensions is a difficult concept to wrap your head around when you are used to the classical conditioning of a particular social and cultural system (or systems). In simple terms, learning to learn will help you tap into the morphic resonance field to effect change in your life.
Attuning, aligning, harmonizing: these are words that help us relate to the energetic system which is the human meat-suit. What that suit "knows" or understands itself consciously is shaped/molded inside dense conglomerations of particles, atoms flickering anti-color. In this "inside-out" world of creation, we find the forces that re-form into an evolution of action potential of possibility.
Let's do a quick background check before we move forward:
The term Morphic Resonance was coined by Rupert Sheldrake, PhD
Since meeting Doctor Sheldrake for the first time, I chuckle at the ongoing conversation I have in my head with him. I was gifted a ticket to an IONS Conference a few years ago and had no clue who he was prior to attending. At the beginning of the conference, they had a complimentary lecture series with limited seating per presenter; his was the last available to me as a last-minute entry. A bit peeved for not getting into my top choices, I sat critically in the audience comparing and contrasting his theories about where we get our information with my own.
Of course. I had so many questions and mulled over them all evening.
The next day while walking through the halls, I noticed him with an interviewer outside, in a courtyard space. I figured I would just sit inside, patiently within eyesight, and wait for him to finish because I (still) have this question about art and consciousness. After 20 minutes or so, they completed the interview (this guy had so many people coming up to him, asking questions and standing in line to have him sign their latest copy of whatever book of his they had purchased) but the door to get back inside was locked.
I chuckled to myself and thought, oh, that's why I felt so compelled to sit here. I'm supposed to let them back in; it's a long walk around to get back to an entrance. This is my opportunity to ask my questions. He and the interviewer were both very grateful and gracious. He obliged to indulge in answering my questions as he walked briskly to his next scheduled interview.
This memory is one I will always treasure. After, I bought a copy of each of his books. The Nature of Formative Causation gave me the language to describe this innate drive to research neurological implications of aesthetics and consciousness. I don't know what else to say about that for now, except behavioral evolution is fascinating to me as an artist. Understanding "self" and "meaning of life" as an artform, we can move forward with this transmission.
INSTINCT AND PRONOIA
Evolution assumes everything is going to work out in your favor in the long run, so you might as well go with the "Flow" and learn to consciously navigate that meatsuit in harmony with all those vibrating particles in and around you.
If these are new concepts for you, consider them seeds implanted into your subconscious, whether you actively engage with this transmission or not. When discussing the whole species as an inter-wired psychological phenomena, we can assume Collective Human Memory. Sheldrake states that "everyone draws upon and in turn contributes to a collective human memory," (1) which is referred to as the morphic resonance field.
[Topics for future exploration] Intrinsic structure. Intrinsic factors.
Words: Real vs False, for resonance and dissonance
Interpreting Symbolism and the Resonant Effects
FEELING AND SPIRIT
Interpreting sensations in a meat-suit with electrical impulses we call emotions: pain vs pleasure. Simplicity and complexity. Familiarity and strangeness.
Morphing and resonating both imply similar energetic connotations to the currency flow of electricity exchange. Current frequencies corresponding to emotions can describe the colorful expressions of the human experience. Blue, cooling language and warm blushing of skin allow for connections creating pathways and communities.
Without introducing a full chapter on the philosophies I've integrated into an understanding of feelings and the spirited expression of the emotion spectrum, we can spark curiosity in being human by permitting expression sans opinionated bias.
Practicing "Feelings," both giving and receiving, sets a precedent for authentic exchange. Emotional intelligence is learned, though our gregarious desire for connection motivates our intentions to cultivate a concept of "Love." Defining these frequencies for future transmissions will increase in importance as we move forward.
For now, let's play with the notion that we can morph our perceptions and experiences within the current field so we can recalibrate collectively to create solutions to perpetuated problems.
Feeling some discomfort yet? There is more of the energetic pot to stir; for now, consider something inside you stirred. More soon.
-K.
